About Woody
Woody comes from the combined efforts of a powerhouse group of bedlington breeders, kennels and experience. Co-bred by Lauire Zembrzuski & Gaby Gilbeau (of LAMZ Bedlington Terriers) and Laurie Friesen (of Glaurieus Bedlington Terriers), he is owned by Linda Freeman (of Chelsea Blue Bedlingtons). Building upon the lines of Sandy Miles and Foley Harper (of Sandon N' Oakhill Bedlingtons), Vanessa Sypher (of Meadowsweet Bedlington Terriers), Christopher Lee (of Camerata Bedlington Terriers) and his breeders and owners, we all have incredibly high hopes for this beautiful puppy!
With a tremendous coat, beautiful head and expression, proper angles and beautiful front assembly, we are sure that he is going to have a phenomenal career in the show ring. He is everything we hoped for from this combination - and more! He sure has big pawprints to fill! His half brother out of Chloe, "Shilling" - BISS GCh LAMZ Heads I Win Tails You Lose, was Winners Dog/Best of Winners at the BTCA National Specialty 2010 at just 6mos and 1 day old before embarking on an illustrious specials career with multiple group wins and national-weekend best of breed awards among many other accolades, ending 2011 as the #2 Bedlington Terrier in the USA. His half sister out of Chloe, "Rigby" - GCh LAMZ Eleanor Rigby, has been a top-ranked bedlington for three years, and was the #2 Bedlington Terrier in the USA in 2012 with many group placements and impressive awards. On the other side of his pedigree, sired by Leo, his half sister "Elle" - BIS BISS GCh Glaurieus Top Super Mod Elle, is a multiple group winner, a National Specialty Best of Breed winner and an All-Breed Best in Show Winner, as well as being a top ranked bedlington over several years. With many more top-ranked, national/regional specialty, group winners/placers in his pedigree - we hope that he will follow their illustrious careers!
Woody picked up his first major going Winners Dog/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex on the day he turned 6mos old - wow! At 7mos old, he won another major and followed it up with another single on the following day. At the 2013 BTCA National, Woody won the 6-9mos Puppy Class 3 of the 4 days and went Reserve Winners Dog all 3 days that he won his class. In May, he took a Best of Breed and Group 4 from the classes over an entry of 4 specials and several class bedlingtons from the 9-12mos puppy class, for a 5-point major! Woody went on to finish his Championship and Grand Championship with multiple Terrier Group placements and Best of Breed wins over top-ranked specials.
