There are very few Bedlington puppies born every year in the United States, so if you're interested in a puppy, we reccomend that you find a reputable breeder and contact them when you begin your search to reserve a puppy from a future litter! Often, by the time our litters are listed online or the puppies are born, most (if not all) of the puppies are spoken for, so please contact us as early as possible in your search to ensure that you know when we are expecting puppies. We usually breed only once or twice each year in-house and have one or two co-bred litters each year, so our puppies are not usually available without a wait. Our litters are carefully planned long before the puppies are born, helping to ensure that every puppy we produce has the temperament, health and conformation qualities we value in our line.
We are often asked whether we will have companion puppies available, or if we only sell show puppies. The answer is that we always have companion puppies in any litter we breed. Although we breed every single litter with hopes of puppies destined for greatness in the show ring and an aim to improve the breed, only a handful of puppies will ever make it to the show ring. Insignificant structural traits that the average owner would never notice, like slightly narrow ears, or a round-shaped eye (as opposed to an almond shaped eye), could eliminate the dog as a show candidate. However, that dog will make a beautiful, healthy, loving companion for a family. There are pet-quality puppies in every litter and we welcome all inquiries from those seeking a companion as well as those seeking a show or performance prospect.
All of the dogs we use for breeding are DNA 1,1 (clear), non-carriers, for Copper Toxicosis, have current eye CERF testing, have had their hearts examined by a licensed Cardiologist and have had their patellas examined to ensure they are healthy and clear of genetic abnormalities before breeding. Our puppies are also all CERF (eye) tested by a licensed canine ophthalmologist, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped and de-wormed and have their hearts checked by a licensed canine cardiologist before we place any of them in new homes.
All of our puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club. Our show-prospect puppies are sold on a co-ownership agreement until they complete their AKC Championship, at which point we will sign off of their papers. All pet-quality puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract with AKC Limited Registration, meaning that if the dog is bred, any resulting offspring will be ineligible for AKC registration and we retain co-ownership on all pet puppies until proof of spay/neuter is provided to us, in writing, by your veterinarian.
For many reasons, we do not ship our puppies to their new homes under any circumstances. All of our puppies must be picked up in person, including international sales. For those new families who live too far away to drive to us, we are located close to several major airports in the greater D.C. area (Dulles (IAD), Reagan (DCA) and BWI) and will gladly work with you to set up a time for you to fly out and pick up your puppy and bring it home with you.
Current & Upcoming Litters
We have several litters planned for 2018 & 2019. Please check back for more information as it becomes available.
Summer 2018 Litter
Maysie is expecting puppies, sired by Wood, in late July/early August 2018!
The sire of this litter, Woody (Ch LAMZ Glaurieus Knock on Wood), had a brief, but decorated show career! He was a multiple Best of Breed winner and Group Placer from the classes, finishing his championship in short order. He has only had a handful of litters, but has consistently produced beautiful, loving puppies!
The dam of this litter, Maysie (Ch LAMZ May the Fourth Be With You), was also only shown briefly before taking time off to do performance trials. She quickly and easily earned titles in both AKC Earthdog and Barn Hunt events. Maysie has an exceptional temperament, lovely movement and is overall, a very typey little girl. This will be her first litter.
Maysie delivered 2 blue females and 1 blue male.
Current & Planned Co-Bred Litters

However, these litters are out of our lines and are lovingly raised by their co-breeders who share our breeding standards and adhere to the same health testing and socialization regimen as we do with our own puppies. Contact information for the co-breeders of the litters below will be listed under the litter announcement.
