Beauty, BRAINS, Health & TEMPERAMENTHere at LAMZ Bedlington Terriers, we firmly believe that our dogs should not only prove themselves to be beautiful examples of the breed in the conformation show ring, but also must prove that they have the aptitude to excel in various performance venues. While Conformation is an evaluation of the dog's structure and a prediction of soundness, performance events put that structure to the test and evaluate the smarts, temperament trainability, biddability, and athleticism of our dogs.
We are proud of all of the LAMZ Bedlington Terriers who excel in Rally-O, Earthdog, Coursing Ability Tests, Fast CAT, Barn Hunt, Scent Work, Agility, Obedience, Dock Diving, Trick Dog, Farm Dog Certification, and the AKC's Canine Good Citizen & Temperament Test programs. The LAMZ Bedlingtons hold well over 200 titles in these events. Additionally, several dogs from our breeding have gone on to become medical alert service dogs and certified Therapy Dogs, providing life-saving medical alert behaviors for their owners and actively visit schools, libraries, nursing homes and hospitals in the course of their work. |

Get Out With Your Dog!At a minimum, we encourage all of our puppy buyers to attend a "puppy kindergarten" type of training class, regardless of any future goals for your dog. We believe that early training and socialization are crucial to the long-term well-being of your puppy! Further training classes beyond puppy classes are highly suggested - but be forewarned - you might get bit by the "bug" and get hooked on a new sport with your dog!
