About Vera
Vera is owned by a partnership of long-time Bedlington preservation breeders who understand the need to work together to preserve this wonderful breed. She came to LAMZ thanks to her breeder, Carol Rappaport, who entrusted us with her very important genetics and quality. She is the result of Starcastle & Hollywink’s 39th straight generation of Bedlington Terriers, tracing the efforts of preservation breeders through 3 generations of (human) family, Marianne Cummings, Nancy Rappaport & Carol Rappaport dating back to 1949!
In short order, Vera finished her AKC Championship, capping it off with a huge 5-point major at the famed 2023 Montgomery County Kennel Club terrier show. Soon after, Vera received an Award of Merit at the BTCA Eastern National Specialty in Oaks, PA, and then was Select Bitch at the 2023 AKC National Championship and Best of Opposite Sex at one of the pre-shows for two huge 5-point majors towards her Grand Championship.
She will continue to be shown in 2024 before making her mark in the whelping box - the future is bright for this beautiful girl!
