About Tony
Tony lives with our junior handler, Lydia and her other Bedlington Pippa (Ch LAMZ Upstaged the Bride CA). Tony is an outgoing boy with beautifully springy movement and an incredibly clean, refined head. He has a proper coat that is both dense, yet full of guard hair, giving it the proper texture required by the breed standard. He is a lovely combination of both of his parents.
Tony finished his Championship in short order, finishing with two 4-point majors and a 5-point major along the way. He won a huge Best of Breedon his first day as a move-up special, over an entry of 15, in a field of 7 champions. Tony went to the 2014 BTCA National Specialty, at just 10 months of age, and walked away with the 1st Award of Merit! Tony has been shown extremely limitedly as a special throughout 2014 and 2015. In March of 2015, Tony went Select Dog at the 2015 BTCA Floating National Specialty! Tony followed up this success by going Select Dog at the 2015 BTCA Flagship National Specialty held in conjunction with Morris & Essex.
Lydia and Tony have been a record-setting team in the Junior Showmanship ring. Lydia and Tony became the 2015 Westminster Kennel Club Best Junior Handler team. Lydia and Tony are the first and only Junior-Bedlington team to ever make the finals at Westminster and the first to win this prestigious award. Not finished after receiving this honor, Lydia and Tony set off for the 2015 World Dog Show in Milan, Italy, where they again made finals and ended as Best Junior Handler! Lydia and Tony competed in Italy against some of the best juniors in the world. We are so proud of them!
Lydia allowed Tony to grow and mature before easing him into the specials ring. Shown very sparingly in 2015, he is already a top-ranked bedlington. In September, 2015, Tony won his first Terrier Group 1 in a power-packed lineup at just over 2 years of age. Tony went Best of Opposite Sex at the 2015 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship!
Tony and Lydia have continued to show limitedly in the specials ring going into 2016, but came out with a bang at the 2016 BTCA National Specialty Weekend. Tony was awarded Best of Breed at the 2016 National Specialty and Best of Breed at a BTCA Supported Entry over the National Specialty Weekend. This win makes Tony a second generation National Specialty Best of Breed winner! Tony went on to earn a Group 2 after his Breed win at the National!

Tony's dam, Rigby (NBISS GCh LAMZ Eleanor Rigby CAA RATI RATN CGC), had a tremendous show career. Consistently ranked in the top of the breed standings during her campaign, she received many prestigious awards and recognitions. Notably, Rigby was awarded Best of Breed at both the 2013 BTCA National Specialty and the 2013 Westminster Kennel Club dog show, as well as receiving National Specialty Select and Award of Merit wins and multiple Group Wins and Placements. Rigby was the very first Bedlington Terrier Grand Champion in AKC History. Rigby comes from a pedigree full of top winners and producers. Her sire, Multi Ch Isotop's Hot Show, is a Champion in many countries with wins and placements at the group level. Her dam, Chloe (Ch LAMZ Lucky Clover), consistently produces top winners in the show ring and is a BTCA All-Time Top Producing Brood Bitch. Rigby's grandsire, Vegas, MBISS GCh LAMZ Viva Las Vegas RN SE CA RATI RATN CGC, is the 2011 BTCA National Specialty winner and has a lengthy show record, including being the #1 Bedlington Terrier in the US in 2007.
Tony's sire, Marcus (Ch Trevelyan's Quiet Playing Games), was bred in the Netherlands and later exported to Sweden, where he has had success in the show ring, yet is too young to finish his Championship under Swedish show rules. Marcus came to the United States for the 2013 BTCA National Specialty, where he was awarded Winners Dog/Best of Winners, and was Winners Dog two other days, for a total of 14pts with 3 majors. He returned to the United States in the fall of 2013 and quickly finished his AKC Championship. Marcus is a beautiful liver dog, with an incredible head and sidegait that epitomizes the called-for "spring" in the Bedlington Terrier standard.
