About DeeDee
DeeDee is from our Pirate litter, out of Molli (Ch LAMZ Hokie Pokey) and sired by Piper (GCH Spellbind Fantastic Symphony). Like her mother, Dee is a refined girl, on the smaller end of the standard. She combines beautifully the conformation of both sides of her pedigree. Her long, clean head is a wonderfully feminine version of her grandsire, Vegas' impeccable head and her sire Piper's incredibly long head. With beautiful angulation, a gorgeous outline and a nice long neck, this classy girl was sure to excel in the show ring.
During her first weekend of shows, Dee picked up her first 4 points. She quickly followed that up with back-to-back-to-back major wins. At that point, we put her away for a few months to hold her back for the BTCA National Specialty in March 2013. Dee went on to go Winners Bitch at the 2013 BTCA National Specialty for a 5-point major from the Bred-By class!
DeeDee finished her Grand Championship at just under 18mos of age at the Virginia Terrier show. Along the way, Dee went Best of Breed at the 2013 BTCA Supported Entry in southern Virginia. DeeDee ended the year 2013 as the #12 Bedlington Terrier in the United States. Early in 2014, Dee earned her first Group Placement right before her second birthday. Repeating her performance from the year before, Dee went Best of Breed at the 2014 BTCA Supported Entry in southern Virginia. DeeDee took 2015 off of the show ring while Laurie competed with Shilling in the NOHS events.
Outside of the Conformation ring, Dee has dabbled in performance events, picking up her Coursing Ability (CA) title with 3 Qualifying Runs in Coursing Ability Testing during her first weekend of trials! She went on to earn her Coursing Ability Advanced (CAA) title early in the summer of 2014 and is working towards her Coursing Ability Excellent (CAX) title!
